Devon Gummersall appeared on the HBO produtcion “When Trumpets Fade” on June 27th 98.
One of the bloodiest battles of World War 2 is depicted in the HBO original, “When Trumpets Fade.” Ron Eldard (“Deep Impact”) stars as a young officer forced by superiors to lead his men deep into Hurtgen Forest, nicknamed “The Death Factory,” where 24,000 American soldiers were senselessly slaughtered. The movie also features Zak Orth, Frank Whaley (“Born on the Fourth of July”), Martin Donovan (“The Opposite of Sex”), and Dwight Yoakam (“Sling Blade”).
